Welcome to Harvey’s Hounds

We are a dog walking and pet sitting service based in Jersey, Channel Islands.

We offer island wide services including dog walking, doggy daycare, pet sitting and pet feeding.

We are fully insured with Protectivity, registered with the Jersey Financial Services Commission and the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner for Data Protection.

We are proud to follow the Jersey Code of Practice for the welfare of dogs whilst under the responsibility of professional dog walkers.

Your pet’s happiness, comfort, safety and welfare is incredibly important to us. As pet owners, we understand how difficult it can be to trust others with their care.

We carefully match each dog to others that are similar in the way they play and explore the outdoors. This is an incredibly important step. Getting this wrong can result in your dog/s becoming stressed and displaying unusual and/or unwanted behaviour. We will not take on the responsibility of a dog just to “make up the numbers” on a walk.

Whilst your dog is out walking with us, we will use force free, positive reinforcement only and they will wear a tag with our contact details on. We use touch training and whistle training to improve recall.

In order to provide the utmost safety for your dog/s, we have invested in air conditioned vans with secure, crash tested cages with built in escape hatches. We have insulated the vans to ensure they stay cool in summer and warm in winter. We have also installed specialist fans that circulate air conditioning throughout the van as well as temperature monitors. Each cage has vet bedding, cool mats, lights and water bowls.

We believe that our clients and their animals are totally unique. We will always go above and beyond to accommodate clients needs wherever possible.

I have always had a love for all animals and have a special connection with dogs. Every dog is different and I love getting to know all their weird and wonderful little quirks. Some will only eat certain treats, one will only walk on a path and won’t dare put paws off-grid! Some like to ride up front and won’t go cattle class in the back! I like the dogs to have fun and enjoy their walk so I allow them to be dogs and let them explore and sniff to their heart’s content.
